The State of the Kingdom

Tonight was the state of the union speech. Some love our current president and some do not. It occurs to me that this country was started as a way to come out from under the authority of a king. At least for believers like me there is a longing for a king to come and set up his kingdom. This seems contradictory. But the reason we left King George was because he was a man. A mere human being. Human kings and all leaders for that matter are flawed. As independent as we are as Americans, we who follow the king of kings are indeed aware of our dependence on and our loyalty to our Heavenly ruler. One day Yeshua (Jesus’ Hebrew Name) may give a State of the Kingdom address. Everyone will stand and applaud or perhaps kneel in unison as there will be no division; no right or left of the aisle. Indeed, no aisle at all. We will all confess him as Lord and swear loyalty to no country or flag, but to the King Himself. All hail the Lamb who sits on the throne. The state of His Kingdom is victorious, eternal, and it is coming soon.
